I'm sorry, but I don't know what's wrong. I have the following and
demo(bprobit) works for me:
R 2.12.1
Zelig: 3.4-8
VGAM: 0.8-1

I have R 12.2.1 and the latest VGAM and Zelig
packages. I have tired loading just Zelig and running the simulation and loading Zelig
and VGAM in both orders and running the simulation. Still the same problem. When I start
R it starts with just the basic packages installed. When I try to run the demo(bprobit),
I get the same error message when I try to run the simulations:
s.out1 <- sim(z.out1, x = x.low, x1 = x.high)
Error in UseMethod("vcov") : no applicable method for 'vcov'
applied to an object of class "c('vglm', 'vlm',
'vlmsmall')"
I appreciate your quick response. Any other suggestions?
Thank you,
db

Did you update both Zelig and VGAM to the most
recent versions? If so, the following command should work:
demo(bprobit)
If not, my guess is that you might have overwritten some of the functions when you loaded
other packages, for example. So, I would restart R and then just run the command you need
to run.

Hi:
I am getting an error message when I try to use sim() on a bivariate probit model. After
setting the explanatory variables, I get the following error message:
