Yphtach and Lucy,
This issue you identified in logit.mixed is now fixed in the Beta versions. Sorry for the
delay as we have just now gotten to the ZeligMultilevel module. Below is a slight
modification of the example that Yphtach proposed, which now works. Note that the code is
installing from the r.iq repository to get the current Betas. (Lucy, if your issue was
different, and you still have any issues, feel free to let me know on or off list).
# Yphtach's example:
install.packages("Zelig", type = "source", repos =
"http://r.iq.harvard.edu/")
install.packages("ZeligMultilevel", type = "source", repos =
"http://r.iq.harvard.edu/")
library(Zelig)
library(ZeligMultilevel)
d <- expand.grid(y=rbinom(10,1,.33),x=rnorm(10,1),t=1:4)
z.out <- zelig(y~x+tag(1|t),data=d,model="logit.mixed")
x.out<-setx(z.out)
s.out<-sim(z.out, x=x.out)
plot(s.out)
James.

Hi Lucy - Do you have an example script showing the bug? If so, you can share it by
pasting here:
https://gist.github.com/
Additionally, all the source code for the mixed/multilevel models is available on GitHub:

Dear Matt,
I'm having the same problem with sim() using logit.mixed, and was wondering
whether you have an idea as to when this issue might be resolved, so that I can
plan accordingly for some analyses we're running under a deadline.
Alternatively (or, in addition) is there a good reference as a place to start if
I were to code up a version the sim() process for our implementation myself?
Thanks,
Lucy
