Hi,
I'm also having problems installing ZeligMultinomial. I followed the same
instructions you gave to Josue (see below).
At first, I tried:
*install.packages("MNP")
install.packages("ZeligMultinomial",
repos="http://r.iq.harvard.edu/"edu/",
type="source")
*
But I got the following message:
*Installing package(s) into 'C:/Users/Rogério/Documents/R/win-library/2.14'*
*(as 'lib' is unspecified)*
*tentando a URL '
http://r.iq.harvard.edu/src/contrib/ZeligMultinomial_0.5-4.tar.gz'*
*Content type 'application/x-gzip' length 9730 bytes*
*URL aberta*
*downloaded 9730 bytes*
*
*
*The downloaded packages are in*
* 'C:\Users\Rogério\AppData\Local\Temp\RtmpAx5rXC\downloaded_packages'*
*Mensagens de aviso perdidas:*
*In install.packages("ZeligMultinomial", repos =
"http://r.iq.harvard.edu/",
:*
* installation of package 'ZeligMultinomial' had non-zero exit status*
So I tried to use the Instalation Wizard:
*source("http://r.iq.harvard.edu/install_live.R")*
Apparently, everything went fine. I picked "1: Install All Packages
[Recommended]". All package dependencies were downloaded and properly
installed. But when it comes the time to install the Zelig packages
themselves, just the "core/basic" package is installed (and all not the
others). After this moment, R is closed...
Then I tried to load normally load Zelig and use "mlogit" model -- but it
was not working. And when I type: *require(ZeligMultinomial)*, I get tis
error message:
*In library(package, lib.loc = lib.loc, character.only = TRUE,
logical.return = TRUE, :*
* there is no package called ‘ZeligMultinomial’*
Am I doing something wrong?
thanks,
Rogério Barbosa

The following should work:
install.packages("MNP");
install.packages("ZeligMultinomial",
repos="http://r.iq.harvard.edu/"edu/",
type="source")
Additionally, you can use the install wizard:
source("http://r.iq.harvard.edu/install_live.R")
And it will present you with an ascii menu of options to choose from
