Dear Clarify List Members,
I have some trouble using the code to produce the „figure 1“ in the clarify article. I
guess that my problem is that i use a variable to be plotted on the x-axis that only
ranges form 0 to 11. When I use the code pasted below I only get 10 confidence intervals
plotted in my graph. I don’t know if this matters but the variable which I’m interested in
is a discrete one.
I’m not sure if I set the values in the “gen xaxis” and the local commands right.
And for what is the function of the “`a'“?
-----------------------------------
clear
use p1imp_mn1
estsimp reg depvariable setof_independend variables, mi(setofdatafiles)
gen plo = .
gen phi = .
gen xaxis=_n + 1 in 1/11
setx mean
local a=0
while `a'<=11 {
setx variableofinterest `a'
simqi, ev genev(margins)
_pctile margins, p(.5,99.5)
replace plo=r(r1) if xaxis==`a'
replace phi=r(r2) if xaxis==`a'
drop margins
local a = `a' + 1
}
sort xaxis
graph twoway rcap plo phi xaxis
-----------------------------
Maybe that it seems I little basic but I would appreciate any help.
