Hi -- It's no doubt a problem with long filenames, in particular no
element of your path (e.g. "C:\ezi") cannot be longer than 8 character
names and may not contain spaces. So for instance you cannot load a
text file in C:\Documents and Settings\Kenneth Benoit\My Documents. It
also means the filename for your data must be 8.3, e.g. electn04.asc
instead of "Election 2004.asc". Try that and see how it works.

HI
I'm a new EZI user and I just downloaded it to my computer at home which
runs XP. It seemed to download successfully, and I was able to open the
program, select import (to import data). However, I'm not able to get
past specifying the names of the variables to be imported as when I hit
"enter" the system shuts itself off and all the windowns close.
It's probably something simple like I hit the wrong button, but
has anyone else ever had this problem?
Thanks
